The crypto API draws from your browser's operating system entropy pool — the same source used for TLS handshakes and encryption keys. This means your coin flip is as random as the security protocols protecting your online banking. No pattern, no predictability, no bias.
Interestingly, real physical coins are not perfectly 50/50. A 2023 study of 350,000 coin flips found a slight "same-side bias" of approximately 50.8%, caused by the coin's precession (wobble) during flight. Our digital tool avoids this physical bias entirely, giving you a truly equal chance.
